Canon 35-350 f 3.5-5.6L Lens in the house

Filed under: General — SDBlogger @ 8:11 pm

After many years of eyeing up this lens and always wishful thinking a the US$2000+ price tag… We recently aquired a Canon
35-350 f 3.5-5.6L Lens. I took it out last night to shoot the Adidas awards dinner at Cusine Cusine in IFC and it did a great job, we mounted it on the monopod as it is very heavy, my bicepts will be getting a workout with this one. The lens performed admirably well and after just looking thru the shots, very sharp. We were shooting 400ASA, 60/th @ f5.6-6.7 in low light but the shots are still amazingly sharp. One small comment it is a bit difficult to focus in low light, the lens searches back and forth to find a focal point, you just have to help it with a bit of manual focus to get it close and then it locks on nicely.
So another piece of quality Canon kit added to our bag. Thanks Sean… (the friend who sold it to me)…
Read here some other peoples comments about this great lens that has been around for many years. Canon EOS 35-350
