A Plastic Beach – ICC Beach Clean Up with Canadians

Sok Kwu Wan Bay on Lamma island. This is the dirtiest I’ve ever seen this beach, it is getting worse every year. We have been cleaning this beach for 10 years!

White Box Photography supports any and all organizations in their efforts to clean our oceans, Ecovision Asia are at the forefront of this effort and once again this year are responsible for organizing the ICC HK clean up.

We shot this last year and just got the finished work back from the client. It was a great day out in the sun, we went on a Junk up to Sai Kung doesn’t look like HK, but it is.

Lisa & Dan’s 吳彥祖 African Wedding

My dear friend Lisa S, know to many as the face of a thousand fashion shows, magazine covers, and now Star TV’s Channel V & & &… whom recently was wed to Mr. Daniel Wu 吳彥祖. I don’t need to tell you all who he is, but if you don’t know, Dan Wu. Besides being super celebs these two are also the most down to earth cool folks on the planet. Both Lisa and Dan give generously of their time and effort in supporting many worthy charities. So the coming together of these two kindered spirits in holy matrimony was bound to be something special

The event was kept top secret and well, I am still not letting on who exactly was there, but lets just say it was a small group of special friends and family, the location, the Free State of South Africa. The group gathered at an undisclosed ocation a few days before the appointed day of April 6th and all was made ready for the big day.

Well, I won’t spoil the story with my humble words until I receive the translation of the interview that Lisa and Dan gave to Ming Pao Weekly last week, which was published along with these photos yesterday, the day I arrived back in HK from my recent African adventure… so check back here in a day or two for the translation, and please respect the copyright and if you are going to publish these elsewhere you have to get my permission, thanks. Invest Hong Kong banner

Invest Hong Kong have purchased one of our stock shots for a standing banner that will be used at various functions and events around the world. I shot this years ago from the roof of IFC2 while doing a job for the OTIS elevator company.
Thanks to Kal for the handing retouching to get rid of the clouds and turn the sky blue.

InvestHK are the government agency responsible for selling this lovely city of our to international businesses as a good place to set up and do business. They must have a pretty easy job, the way I figure it, Hong Kong is a great place to do business, its just too bad we have to breath to do so…

After spending some time retouching the first selection last night, when I woke up in the morning the client had chosen a new pic which we then retouched, luckily this one didn’t need as much, no railing along the highway to remove, just a small chain in front of the grass… so do you like?
We shot this yesterday afternoon about 5pm in front of the HK Club bldg, I was using my trusty Canon 5D with the 24-105 at f5.6 / 160th
the vivid foreground lighting on the talent was courtesy Profoto 6B battery powered strobe… the secret is what did i have attached to the strobe?
