Hong Kong Giant Family Portrait

Filed under: General — SDBlogger @ 3:38 am

The photo is giant not the family, ha ha… Anyways, I just picked this up from the framers it is a beautiful picture of Deepu’s family. Unlike Venture Studios, I did not blow out the skin tones by over exposing, over staturation etc.

Rather I shot this on a 21 megapixel camera the Canon 1Ds Mk3, with an 85mm f1.2L lens, one of the sharpest portrait lenes made. Then I spent over a week retouching each shot and then combining them into the layout to create this ‘Giant Family Portrait Master piece’. The finished file once flattened in Photoshop was 845megabytes, and was printed by Color 6.

It is not often that I get really excited about a family portrait picture, but this one is quite special.

And looking at this picture I think, how did I get so FAT… so off to the gym I go…
