Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2 - NO GOOD FOR ALAMY - Failed QC…

Filed under: General — SDBlogger @ 8:52 am

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2 that we bought just before going to Brasil in December with the intention of having a small point and shoot camera that we could use for stock, has just had its first batch of images fail Alamy’s stringient quality control.
The LX2 suffers from very heavy noise, even at 1000/sec ISO100 in broard daylight. The noise is not so noticable but still there. So we applied noise busting filters using PS2. Well Alamy failed the images for “SOFT OR LACKING DEFINITION”…

This is greatly upsetting as all the lovely images that I shot on this holiday are useless for stock. So anyone want to buy a LUMIX-LX2… make me an offer, or buy me a pint and this otherwise lovely camera is yours…
