One of our favorite places for “businessmans lunch” my best friend and I often meet here for lunch on Friday. The buffet is wicked. More than 25 dishes, I don’t remember most of their names, but they are all very good and you can eat as much as you wish. Friday is the best as they do “leg of Lamb” umm…
Just make sure you leave some room for desert as the GULAB is divine as is the Creme Caramel…
$120 a head … Well worth the effort.

Sorry we stand corrected. In our blog SDBlog Hong Kong Photography Photographer » Blog Archive » Hong Kong’s First Wind Turbine
we wrongly stated that the new Lamma wind turbine was Hong Kong’s first. Well OK it is the first big one, but Synergy Corp has the honor of being Hong Kong’s first… Read all about it here… Synergy Power Corporation - News
The Hong Kong tourism board is not going to like this, but if you are a tourist coming to Hong Kong, be warned the months of June, July and August are what we call “rainy season”. Basically what that means is it will be raining MOST days, and when I say raining, I mean RAINING. In other part of the world it is called MONSOON. But please don’t let that put you off visiting, there are plenty of indoor activities to keep you busy, just as long as you like shopping! We love Hong Kong Summer, oh yes!
Don’t forget it Beach Clean up day, next weekend. October 22… and for those that want to join in the fun afterward, we are camping on Dai Long Wan beach over night…

Today we went to Sam Ka Tsuen, what I have now dubbed “cruel to fish” village. On the Eastern approaches to the harbour, across from the Museum of Coastal Defense, sits this small dilapidated fishing village. We had passed the place many times on the numerous junk trips we Gweilos in HK take, so we thought a visit might be in order. Well walking through the small alleys packed with fish awaiting their demise in the tanks of the numerous restaurants we came across this sight. These small little shrimp like creatures, I don’t know what they are called, but they taste like really fishy prawns, anyways. They are livly little fellas and like to jump out of the tank so this one restaurant came up with this ingeneous solution. Cut the side of a plastic bottle and put the little things in so they can’t jump out of the tank. Now, on top of the poor little creatures waiting for the pot, they spend their last moments of life trapped helpless in a plastic bottle. Disgusting and really for me just another proof of what I call peasant mentality…

Also saw what had to be the most dirty beach I have ever seen in Hong Kong. There was more trash than natural material… Yuk and people were letting their kids play in it… Disgusting… And a poiniant reminder of why we are having the beach clean up next weekend.
Hey, we found it, fish and chips, very similar to the ones you get on Lamma Island. This must be the Chinese style of doing fish and chips because the fish was breaded and the chips were McKain SuperFries, anyways and the good news is that the restaurant we found them at is on Cain Road
Just at the top of Old Bailey a few doors in…
$38 Bucks for some tasty fish in bread crumbs and chips…
