I found this site and think it is great. I don’t shoot alot of food, but do enjoy it when I do. The best part of shooting food is always the “after” bit, when often times we will get to enjoy sampling the models (food), for taste.
Yeah, check this site out to learn a thing or two about FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY!
Well after six years and many of thousands of dollars spent at Rent A Pro Limited we finally have our own lights. Yes, I just busted out a considerable sum of money to buy a Bron Elektronik AG - VISATEC
lighting kit. I bought the SOLO 316 kit. It comes with 3x SOLO 1600 which are 600Watt/Second mono lights, reflectors, softbox, barndoors, honeycombs and an umbrella. I also bought the Infared Triger device that attaches to the hotshoe of my camera and fires the lights remotely without a cable. These lights are Swiss made and the intial impression when you take them out the box is the same feel you get the first time you sit in a Mercedes Benz, these babies are a quality product, beautifully finished and they even have that “new car” smell.
Then we also busted out a Manfroto backdrop kit, two stands and a telescoping pole for hanging backdrop paper.
So finally after all these years we are fully kitted out.
I will be taking photos of the new studio all set up and ready to go as soon as I get the rest of the kit tomorrow.

So yesterday was me third 28th birthday… ha ha… What a lovely day. Me girlie, Juliana really made me feel special. First breakfast in bed, flowers, no one has ever bought me flowers before and then a big surprise, she got me these fantastic “bling bling’ RayBan sunnies… Let me tell you, these babies are great, she even got the guy in the store to change the lens with the other style cause she knew that I would like the gold ones, but needed darker lenses. Anyways, they are fantastic and I am really lucky to have em’ and her.
Then we went down to Stanley Market to do a bit of shopping, I always like to treat myself to a birthday pressie… Well just to say this Stanley Market ain’t what it used to be. Annoyingly, half the stores have now instituted a “no fitting” policy, what, that is why we go to Stanley cause all the sample shops in Wan Chai won’t let you fit. YES, I am the first to admit, I SHOP IN THE SAMPLE SHOPS, hell why not, you getting the same merchandise as in the malls, but paying a 10th of the price and supporting Mr. and Mrs Chan, instead of Mr. BIG CORPORATION… and we always like that…
So where was I Stanley, well yeah, just not so good anymore, having said that, I did find a couple pairs of shorts, a nice button upshirt and a pair of jeans, spent roughly $500. Now just a second I have to tell you this, the shorts I got are called EZEKIEL, and the tag inside says “Tested for 40 days and 40 nights in the valley of the shadow of death” ….. Anyways…
So then we went down to Smugglers Innfor a pint, it was such a hot day… Now one question: What the f__k are they doing to Stanley Waterfront.
Is this another case of HK crazy drive to fill in the sea. Give it up mateys the sea it bigger than the both of you. I dunno what you gonna do to Stanley Water front but it is surely going to be another one of the misconcieved over planned antiseptic concoctions HK is famous for…. Carry on…
Then we ended the day at Orange Tree having the house special the Lamb Roulade washed down with a very good bottle of red… Ah 28 again… got to love it.
24 hours ago, I moved my hosting to www.mysitespace.com… 24 hours later we are back at ToughDomains.com
There is something to be said for having a live friendly voice at the end of the line when you are trying to sort out a web hosting problem. I will gladly pay a little extra to have a live person sorting out my account, as was the case today.
When I moved to the new server with www.mysitespace.com, well somehow I had the four domains that I own all pointing to the same index page on the server. I am glad I caught this before Yahoo or Google did as this is one of the quickest ways to get a penalty in the search engines. A penalty in Yahoo is the last thing we want, especially after the last crawl which we have bumped up to top 3 spot. We now love Yahoo too… Yahoo! Search Results for hong kong photographer
